Quick Update!

Here it is, 2014 and it has been eight years since my last post!  I now live in Tampa, FL having moved here in the Spring of 2007.  I started a data center consulting business with a colleague in August of 2007 and we have been fortunate to work with many outstanding organizations across North America, the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe.

Man, it's been far too long since I wrote anything! Well, still in San Diego, still flying, lots of drama at work, I'm getting grey hair, what else can I say?

I'm headed back to Maine for a visit in May, really looking forward to that. My niece, Lorraine is getting married on May 6th so it will be good to see family. I'll also take time to see as many friends as possible.

That's about it for now.

Hello All! It's been quite sometime since I've "blogged" so I thought I would at least say "Hello"! I'm living in San Diego at the moment after eProperty died in the great dot com extinction of 2001. Anyway, I'll get more in here later. C'ya.

Hello All!
Again a huge hiatas from posting anything here. Well let me bring you up to date. I am still working on my instrument rating after having not flown for a while this spring due to work. Other than that, at work we now have a new flagship product out and running at www.fleetproperty.com so take a look if you have a second.

Looks like I am headed back to Maine for the Fourth of July which should be great and just before I head back I'm climbing Mt. Whitney with Peter MacDonald and Victor Tedford. Should be fun!

And finally, looks like Dan Elder will be in town this week. We should be able to catch up on Wednesday evening or so.

That's about it from LA. Later.

Good Morning. For some reason this doesn't seem to want to publish my musings. Ah, technology! Let's give it another try.....

Oh, forgot to mention, been thinking about purchasing a plane. Looking at older Beech Bonanza's at the moment. We'll see.

Wow! It's been a long time since I dropped in to write! Well. I have been hard at work here - everyday since the start of the year in fact. I've been flying a bunch and coming close to earning an instrument rating. I figure in about a month I should be ready for a check ride. I have passed the written exam (I have a lot of studying to do though) and am now working on the actual flying part of it. Man, I tell you it makes you a far better pilot in a hurry.

New Years was pretty quiet for me. I packed up the Jeep and went to Joshua Tree National park to camp for night. I picked up a bunch of camping gear along the way to replace stuff that was never returned by a friend I had loaned it to. Oh, well. Live and learn.

Other than that, check out our latest web creation at www.wamuproperty.com. This is the prototype of our flagship dynamic product.

Hey, I also have a web cam page up at www.ritzi.com/homecam. You can check me out at home and at work. Pretty scary huh? ;-)

See ya later!

Well, its been awhile since my last post and whoa, a lot is going on - at least for me who is not one to be completely in tune with the wildness of the West Coast. Let's start off with some of the tame stuff first Ok, last night, after doing some late night grocery shopping, I fired up the ham radio that is now in the Jeep. (yes, a real world capable radio- I'm a geek) Anyway, on the ride home I heard someone calling CQ (which means calling any station) with a pretty good signal but a callsign I don't recognize. I called back and was surprised to hear the other Ham come back with "Greetings from Antartica!" I couldn't believe it, I was talking to the South Pole! Well, at least it was a big deal for me! :-)

As far as other tame stuff, I went up to the Angeles National Forest a couple of weekends ago and found myself at the Mt. Wilson Observatory which I had read so much about as a kid. The entire mountain top is dedicated to astronomy with numerous telescopes including the world famous 100" instrument. It's hard to believe that all that stuff was actually built in the early 1900's! The road construction alone must have been an engineering marvel. It was a pretty cloudy day so I didn't get the view of the LA basin that is supposed to be so incredible from up there. Guess I'll just have to go back!

Well, that is about it from here - got to get back to work. More later from home.
